7: The Stone Corridor

The long passage connecting the two large gable rooms on the ground floor, was originally divided in two. It can be seen that the stucco of the ceiling is different at the two ends of the passage; at the northern end it dates from the time of Christian IV.

Christian IV's vision

Christian IV’s vision before the naval battle of Listerdyb, 1644. The painting illustrates the King’s dream of an honourable resurrection the night before his victory over a superior Swedish-Dutch fleet. Christian IV supposedly had a lot of visions during his reign. Unknown artist.
