In the cosy old basement under the castle’s north wing you find the castle’s restaurant, MADKÆLDEREN, which seats up to 80 guests. MADKÆLDEREN’s cuisine is based on great flavours and a passion for authentic dishes prepared from seasonal and locally sourced ingredients.
Every day, MADKÆLDEREN offers a classic lunch platter with a selection of the best dishes from the traditional Danish lunch table prepared from locally sourced, seasonal ingredients. The lunch platter is available every day from 11.30 to 15.00. We recommend that you reserve a table in advance.
On Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights, MADKÆLDEREN offers a unique dinner experience, where seasonal ingredients from local suppliers are turned into tasty and creative dishes. The evening begins with an aperitif and a snack, followed by a four-course gourmet dinner, rounded off with coffee, brandy and a sweet bite. Unlimited wine is served throughout the evening. (Reservation required)
This evening event at MADKÆLDEREN starts at 18.30. At 22.00, the castle closes for the night.
MADKÆLDEREN is open every day during the museum’s opening hours, from 11.00 to 16.30.
You can visit MADKÆLDEREN without paying admission to the museum. We recommend that you make reserve a table in advance.
