Christmas at Amalienborg Museum

At Amalienborg Museum, we are excited about Christmas, and we have already begun to celebrate. We hope you will visit and join us!

The Christmas tree and The Queen’s Christmas elves

In the beautiful Garden Hall, you can see the Christmas tree, which is decorated in the style of the Christmas trees that stood in Christian VIII’s Palace around 1920, when Christian X and Queen Alexandrine lived here. True to tradition, we also have The Queen’s child-sized Christmas elf figures. Children are welcome to get inside the figures to pose as Christmas elves for a festive photo.

Find the royal Christmas elves – every day

As always around Christmas, the royal Christmas elves are hiding in the royal studies, and every day until 29 December, you can pick up a free children’s folder in English from the museum shop to help you count the elves. When you have filled out the folder, all children can pick up a free papir sheet of royal Christmas elves from the shop.

Find the royal Christmas elves in English – every day from 11 November to 29 December.
